Health screening
If you answer Yes to any of the following questions, please DO NOT attend your appointment, but do let us know, so that we can manage your care and reschedule your appointment.
- Do you have symptoms of fever, cough, runny nose, loss of sense of taste or smell, shortness of breath or temperature at or above 38 degrees centigrade?
- Have you been outside the country within the last 14days?
- Have you been diagnosed with confirmed or suspected Covid-19 infection in the last 14 days?
- Are you a close contact of any person who is a suspected or confirmed case of Covid-19, in the past 14 days before your appointment date? ( ie have you spent 15 minutes or more within 2 metres either indoors or outdoors with someone who is a suspected or confirmed case of Covid-19)
- Have you been advised by a doctor to self-isolate at this time?
- Have you been advised by a doctor to cocoon at this time?
Practical Notes
- To minimise the number of people in the building, we request that only the patient is to enter the practice, by themselves. Parents are to wait in their car during the appointment unless there are extenuating circumstances, in which case please let us know e.g. a very young/nervous child or a first visit.
- We ask that all patients brush and floss their teeth at home/work/school, before coming to us.
- Please use the bathroom at home /work/ school before coming to us, as use of the bathroom in the practice is restricted during this time to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 .
- Please wear a mask to your appointment. This will need to be worn until you are sitting in the dental chair and replaced immediately again once you are finished your specific treatment.
- Please attend your appointment on time (don't arrive early, don't arrive late). This is necessary due to the additional time required to allow adequate social distancing, and time spent sanitising the clinic between each patient.
- On arrival you will be asked to sanitise your hands. We will take your temperature in a non-contact manner, and ask some simple health screening questions as detailed above.
- Adults: Please bring a pen with you to sign any necessary documents. In order to minimise the time patients spend in the practice, any necessary discussions will be scheduled for outside of clinic time.
- Before exiting the practice, please sanitise your hands once more.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to help.
Sincere thanks again for your understanding and cooperation during this time.
